WHO ARE WE?

Based just out of Hamilton, Number 8 Wagyu is New Zealand's largest breeder of publicly registered, performance tested Wagyu.

OUR BREEDING PROGRAMS

Number 8 Wagyu has several breeding programs.

• Fullblood black Wagyu

• Purebred Polled Wagyu

• Fullblood Red Wagyu

All animals are performance tested with EBV data from the Australian Wagyu Association.

WHAT WE PRODUCE

• Breeding bulls

• Breeding females

• Commercial cattle

• Embryos (local and export)

• Semen (local and export)

On-site embryo production facilities.

Most of our animals are sired by Australian or American sires through AI (Artificial Insemination), and are produced through ET (Embryo Transfer). This allows us to maximize the number of progeny of the very best of our cows, creating the best possible offspring.
